About the Founder
As an entrepreneur, mother, and nutritionist, Whole Food Vitality founder, Christy Axford Allen, has heard and experienced these struggles firsthand. That is why she has dedicated her career to making a wholistic, healthy lifestyle reachable for average people.
Christy earned her Plant-Based Nutrition Certification from the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies and eCornell. Her wellness journey started 20 years ago when she discovered that eating healthy can be easy.
Christy combined her medical knowledge from pre-med courses and clinical experiences to make educating others on the benefits of whole food easy to understand and relatable. Her passion for educating others on the benefits of whole food has put her in front of many audiences nation-wide. And her years in the field of education gives her a unique perspective on the concepts of hands-on learning, reasoning, and results oriented efforts.
She is a Certified EMT and received her B.A. in journalism from Park University, Parkville, MO, where she also served as an adjunct professor in first aid and emergency procedures. Christy belongs to the T. Colin Campbell Center for Nutrition Studies’ Whole Communities Program.
Christy is happily married with a grown son. She and her husband split their time between their home in the KC suburbs, and a rural cabin retreat in the Missouri Ozarks. They enjoy the outdoors and wildlife, sunsets, and bonfires Cruising is a new passion for her, and she also enjoys adventures such as skydiving and scuba diving.
